Abstract : Cajanuscajan (Red Gram) seed husk has been used as adsorbent for the removal of Ni (II) ion from aqueous solutions. Adsorption experiments were performed by studying parameters like contact time, initial concentration of Ni (II) ion, amount of adsorbent, initial pH and temperature. The optimum conditions were obtained at initial pH 5, temperature 330 C, contact time 35 min, and 100mg/L initial concentration of Ni (II) ion. Adsorption kinetic models include Lagergren pseudo-first order; pseudo-second order and intraparticle diffusion were applied in order to investigate the adsorption. Langmuir and Frendlich isotherm models were used to investigate the adsorption techniques. Thermodynamic parameters such as〖∆G〗^0, 〖∆H〗^0and 〖∆S〗^0were evaluated
